After many months away from the microphone, I’ve returned with an interview with author Tomas Prower. I first heard of Tomas Prower’s work with the release of Queer Magic back in 2018. In this interview, we talk about his first book La Santa Muerte, his inclusion of so many contributors in his recent works, our feelings around death and death rituals, and get to know him as a person a little bit better. As promised I’m back with another interview from Paganicon 2019. Jason Mankey was gracious in spending time with me in the make-shift studio. We spent a good 30 minutes talking about his new book Transformational Witchcraft, his work as a Wiccan Prist, and new and up-coming books and projects. He’s a very busy guy and very down to earth and very intelligent. We spend a good deal of time talking about the Great Rite as he was presenting on it that day, I was going to miss the workshop due to my own panel scheduled at the same time, and there is a long and important chapter in his newest book. I loved reading Transformational Witchcraft and highly recommend reading it yourself.

I’m back after a long break, busy summer, and audio hardware failure. This interview with Kelden, author and traditional witch, was conducted at Paganicon 2019. A week later than I wanted to post this, Abbie and I return with the “October” book review. Always a delight, Abbie brings her expertise with reading the runes and tarot to discuss Keys to Perception: A Practical Guide to Psychic Development by Ivo Dominguez Jr. This book was a welcome break from the knowledge bomb and extremely problematic rhetoric of Lords of the Left Hand Path by Stephen Flowers.

Along with the review, Abbie and I discuss connections between different pagan paths (Wicca and Feri), share stories about using intuition in divination readings, and reiterate the importance of keeping healthy psychic and empathic boundaries. Today I bring you the second part of my interview with Jordain Cheng-Kinnander. In this first part of the interview, we get into his new book Beings fo Yggdrasil and all the work that went into researching the creatures, gods, and lore and if you haven’t already listened it, please do so. In today’s episode, Jordain picks up where he left off, talking about the gods of the ancient peoples. This slides into our conversation about homosexual relationships and sex as seen by the ancient Germanic peoples. Jordain expertly cites sources where these sexualities and practices were recorded in the past. At the end, Jordain shares with us a prayer he wrote many years ago, in old English, to the goddess Frigg. It was an absolute pleasure speaking with Jordain and having him in the kitchen studio.
