I used to wake up every morning, immediately feel fear and anxiety, dread going to work, and then nearly or actually throw up.

What a way to start the day, right?

This was back in my corporate days before becoming an entrepreneur, but even after I’d started my own business and been gone from corporate for a few years I STILL had this happen to me a few times a week when I woke up.

What the heck? Because I thought I’d left all of that fear and anxiety behind when I left my job. So why on earth was I still experiencing such stress, worry, anxiety, and all the mental and physical symptoms?

Just like you and most people, I’d thought that changing my environment would change things for me and would eliminate all that anxiety and baggage. But clearly that is not the case…just look at my own life as an example or that of other entrepreneurs you know or even your own life.

Because I’m sure you can totally relate, yes?

It wasn’t until years later that I realized my old career and experiences subconsciously programmed me to habitually feel stress and anxiety...even if the original source of the stress is no longer in my life.

And because you’re reading this, you are probably experiencing this, too.

So that’s what I dive into in this episode – sharing with you how these old feelings are actually a habit, how your brain is using these old feelings to try to keep you safe, and how to help yourself start breaking those stress, worry, and anxiety habits through a simple step.
