She shares how it's possible to "not do picky" in your house as well as a fun activity for older kids who are ready to take some ownership of their diets. Happy Mother's Day to all our mamas!
Linkables discussed in this episode:
Madrid EVA Birkenstocks.
A Brief History of USDA Food Guides (includes the old school food pyramid and today's "My Plate" recommendation).
And here is Lorrie's very own chocolate cheesecake recipe! Crust: 2 cups shredded coconut Optional (1/4 cup almond meal, almonds or walnuts) 1/4 cup raw cacao powder scant 1/2 cup dates Blend in blender or food process until crumbly, press into the bottom of a pie pan or cheesecake pan. Filling: 1 can full fat coconut milk 1/2 cup raw cacao powder 1/2 cup dates *Double or triple if using cheesecake pan. Blend in a blender until smooth; pour into pan. Refrigerate until set.
