EPISODE 18: Perspective is Everything. How a powerful parent can change the game. In this episode I wanted to explore what it was like to be the child of an amazing woman. I don’t even tap into the harshest of things that my mother made seem so easy to handle. I just took a few moments to describe a few events and show how her attitude, modeling and approach made them seem nominal at best. I never felt broke, dysfunctional or incomplete. This was a result of one strong woman leading with courage, discipline and determination without ever letting circumstance be an excuse for demeaning anyone or blaming anyone. This is why she is whom I look to emulate in this area. While I fall far short the bar is so high I think it still ends up being pretty darn good.
