Episode 19: emotional dysregulation is scary!
How often do we just accept that life is just how it is? Wake up feeling the dread of that morning alarm clock, wanting to hit snooze, thinking about all the traffic (and gosh darn that morning commute), juggling what feels like a bajillion things in our head while trying to just keep it together so we can present ourselves to our work and our colleagues as our best selves? Then that performance and pressure trickles into the rest of our day where we just try to numb ourselves by disassociating, having an extra glass of wine, playing video games all day, or whatever version of brain rot fancies you.
The details may be different but the underlying truth of not dealing with stress and not learning how to properly regulate our emotions is slowly killing us. It’s robbing us of living a fuller life, of appreciating what we have, of seeing how we can change and really making that change. It’s affecting our relationships, our mood, the whole reality of how we’re living in the world…..crazy, right?
So how do we change it? Help offered in this episode :)
