Off the Record with Jon and Tim

Episode 19 - Sidewalk. Voices.

Listen Later

Jon got a chance to experience the Sidewalk Film Festival this past weekend.  He talks about his experience there and the guys also touch on some of the more tragic events of this past weekend and talk about how much they wish they had a silky, smooth radio voice.
This is unscripted, real conversation. This is what happens off the air. This is Off the Record.
0:48 - Jon talks about the pros and cons of his first Sidewalk Film Festival. (the picture from today's podcast is from the documentary "Wrestle")
4:12 - Tim talks about wanting to attend South by Southwest and Jon is skeptical of some of the screenings there.
5:19 - Jon and Tim discuss the shooting in Jacksonville at a Madden 19 tournament and how ignorant people are that blame video games for the world's problems.
10:05 - Jon talks about the start of the high school football season and how cool it is that Alabama was prominently featured on ESPN.
13:47 - Jon and Tim talk about the work that goes in to making JoxPreps happen each day and how it's used as a way to make high school football more visible to the casual sports fan.
16:18 - Tim doesn't see how Jon keeps things kept up with JoxPreps. Jon just says he does what he loves with high school sports.
17:55 - Our "AJ Question of the Day": **Most people can't stand to hear their own voice. Have you ever had a moment where you heard yourself and thought 'Oh my word, that's my voice?'**
24:31 - Jon talks about how the first weekend of college football is actually much more relaxing than the weekends before football.
The intro song today is "Together" by Marshmello.
