We're back! And with it, we have seven months of pent up energy and aggression that has built up during the COVID-19 pandemic - we were both furloughed for different amounts of time, we've been without movies and the world has lost it's damn mind. With everything that has happened, we just couldn't go on without getting political.
Jon is kinda liberal. Tim is kinda conservative. And we try to have a civil conversation about how messed up the country is right now as we inch closer to the election.
Then we talk movies...or the lack thereof and how sad it makes us.
It's a long podcast, take a listen.
0:11 - Catching up, what life has been like during COVID for Jon and Tim.
7:23 - Jon's illness keeping things from starting back up a few weeks ago.
14:20 - Jon and Tim try to have a conversation about politics following the first couple of debates. They discuss, they argue, they yell, they interrupt each other and they try to make sense of things coming from two different ideologies over the course of an hour.
1:18:26 - Jon and Tim leave politics behind (mostly) and dive into movies and review their most recent viewing, Adam Sandler's "Hubie Halloween".
1:24:06 - Discussion of how sad we are that we can't go see new movies in theaters anymore. The only film Jon and Tim have seen together in theaters post-COVID was Tenet.
1:35:07 - What is the future of new release movies in America?
1:44:51 - Jon breaks down how HBO Max is winning the streaming war, including his love of Lovecraft Country.
