Deirdre is a wildlife conservation photographer, author, and explorer working mainly in the San Juan Mountains and the Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona. She is deeply committed to photography, writing, storytelling, and wild spaces and says they have provided sanctuary in challenging times.
Known for her passion for the alpine, the American pika and other alpine species, backpacking, and mountaineering, Deirdre also writes editorial pieces for national and international publications regarding wildlife and ecosystems and also collaborates with outdoor companies and local organizations who are looking for authentic content with a conservation spin.
