Parents want to help their children. They feel helpless when they don't how. This was the way that the Docs for Dyslexia felt when their children struggled with reading and writing in school. Their children were diagnosed with dyslexia, which they felt would open doors to effective treatment. Unfortunately, they discovered that this disorder was not officially recognized by the educational system. They needed help to advocate for their children. This discovery led them to join together to increase awareness among healthcare providers for diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy. This podcast is their latest effort to make knowledge of dyslexia available to pediatric healthcare providers. Please listen and share with others.
