Former Senator and Vice Presidential nominee John Edwards was seen as a star of the Democratic Party. At least, until he was found out to be engaging in an affair with a campaign staffer while his wife was dying of cancer. What at first already seemed despicable quickly gave way to abominable as details of the affair become uncovered.
