Episode 2 | Legacy of Resilience with Justin Breen

Listen Later

In this episode, we're joined by Justin Breen from Brepic Network, a special platform for visionary people who are changing the world and want to team up with others doing the same.

We'll discuss why it's not enough to just talk – you've gotta take action, how Justin makes fast decisions using up-to-date info, and even hear how his dad's experiences in World War Two shaped Justin's visionary mindset. Let's dive in!

[01:12 - 07:05] How has your learning changed from your early years versus today?

Justin discusses the diverse backgrounds of entrepreneurs' fathers and emphasizes the importance of understanding oneself for good leadership and family relationships. He values learning through stories and experiences and finds it confusing when others don't. He stresses that self-awareness is crucial for being a good leader and family member.

[08:19 - 12:14] How have you developed a winning mindset and what are some of the techniques or practices you use to overcome self-doubt or limiting beliefs?

Justin emphasizes the importance of action over talk and shares a personal litmus test based on their father's resilience. He highlights the traits of true visionaries, such as high self-assurance and a focus on overcoming challenges. He also acknowledges the loneliness that visionaries may feel and stresses the importance of creating a supportive community of like-minded individuals who understand and share similar responsibilities.

[16:09 - 20:15] What are the tools you use to work through change, uncertainty or disruption as it’s happening in real time?

Justin prefers quick decision-making and finds it illogical to dwell on choices. He attributes their mindset to being a journalist with tight deadlines and being inspired by their father's resilience in World War II. He also values efficiency and action, using their father's quick decisions as a guide. He learns from top visionaries who execute quickly and adapt as needed, emphasizing the importance of over-thinking.

[21:09 - 23:41]  What should people expect when they enter your reality?

Joining the Brepic Network means having meaningful talks. One member started "Pick My Brain," connecting people with experts for paid hour-long chats. Another member is helping financially. There's also a new project to help visionaries' spouses understand them better, creating a stronger connection.

[24:04 - 23:41] What are you working on right now that will take place over the next 12mos that excites you?

Justin doesn't think in terms of months or years. He shared a perspective from their son that life is one long, great day. He focuses on creating and connecting visionaries to serve humanity, which, in his view, ensures a great day.
