We’ve got just under 2 months left in 2020 for many professionals, and this is the time for performance discussions. And if you’re not having performance discussions, it’s important that you are equipped to be able to initiate these conversations with your manager too.

This will be a 2-part episode because depending upon how you started 2020 will dictate which episode of this podcast is most important for you.

While performance conversations may seem like the time that your manager is simply critiquing your performance - it’s really the time for you to do a lot of self evaluation.

And in order for you to have a proper self-evaluation, we need to start at the “beginning of the year” - even if we are actually at the end of the year. Allow me to rewind to ensure you can plan a better for next year. If your company has a defined process and now you’re preparing to have that end of year discussion - you may want to skip to the second portion of this episode.
