And we are off! Round 1 of the 2025-26 BKT EuroCup is (just about) in the books - we will not be talking about the London vs Buducnost game which takes place on Thursday - and there were some surprises, some history and some fantastic performances. Among the top highlights was Panionios Athens winning their first EuroCup game in nearly 12 years while ratiopharm ulm surprised Turk Telekom Ankara on the road.

Marco Munno and David Hein review the 1st round of action, featuring Panionios’ win over EuroCup debutants NINERS Chemnitz and Ulm winning in Türkiye. We also look deeper in Bryce Jones’ outstanding performance in Aris Thessaloniki Betsson’s victory over Umana Reyer Venice and Augustine Rubit coming back to the international stage for Lietkabelis Panevezys in an upset over Besiktas GAIN Istanbul. Then we examine Malachi Flynn’s big first game for Bahcesehir College Istanbul as well as Assemian Moulare’s impressive outing for Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse versus Dolomiti Energia Trento.

We finish the show by looking ahead to Round 2 of the EuroCup with the most intriguing matchups being Chemnitz vs Lietkabelis and Bourg vs Turk Telekom.
