Round 3 of the 2025-26 BKT EuroCup is just about done - sorry fans of London and Trento, who play on Thursday - and we have four undefeated teams, two in each group and three sides are still winless. In Episode 3 of the Gone Traveling podcast we review victories by Bestikas GAIN Istanbul and Slask Wroclaw.
Marco Munno and David Hein review the third round of action, featuring Besiktas wasting a 14-point lead but fighting past a strong NINERS Chemnitz side. We also go in depth in Slask Wroclaw winning a thriller at home over U-BT Cluj-Napoca for their second win of the season. Don’t forget, the Polish side went 6-47 in their three previous seasons in the EuroCup.
We also look at two strong performances - those coming from Kyle Allman of Turk Telekom Ankara and Alfonso Plummer of BAXI Manresa. And then we give two surprises. Marco picked Christopher Ledlum of ratiopharm ulm for his outstanding performance against Lietkabelis Panevezys. While Dave selected Joseph Girard, who shined for Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana against Aris Thessaloniki Betsson.
To close the show, we look ahead at Round 4 with a couple of really big games. Bahcesehir College Istanbul host Cedevita in a battle of undefeated teams while Ulm welcome Besiktas and Neptunas Klaipeda welcome Veolia Towers Hamburg in a showdown of winless teams.
If you missed the action from Round 3 of the EuroCup or you just enjoy two basketball fans talking about the EuroCup or want to get some great information and tidbits about the league’s teams and players - Gone Traveling is the podcast for you.
