The BKT EuroCup Regular Season is over and the playoffs are set with Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem and Besiktas GAIN Istanbul owning the top spots and Jerusalem holding home court advantage through the playoffs. The two second seeds going directly to the Quarter-Finals are Bahcesehir College Istanbul and Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse. And the other big game was U-BT Cluj-Napoca beating Aris Thessaloniki Betsson to grab the final spot in the post-season.
Marco Munno and David Hein review the action from Round 18 and highlight the wins by Turk Telekom Ankara - who raced away from NINERS Chemnitz in the fourth quarter; and Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, who surprised Bourg with a comfortable win. They then review top individual showings by Matt Thomas of Besiktas, Cluj’s Karel Guzman, Leo Candi from Umana Reyer Venice and Selom Mawugbe of Dolomiti Energia Trento.
There is no preview of next week’s games as the Eighthfinals will not be played until March 10-11. Here are the match-ups:
