(Gen. 40:5-41:57) After two long years in prison, Joseph is finally released to interpret a troubling dream for the king of Egypt himself. Maybe Joseph's gift of interpreting dreams will finally start to pay off! Rather than take credit for himself, however, Joseph points out that it is only God who can give Pharaoh the peace he is looking for. Joseph knew who the real Hero of his story was even before he got his promotion. God was the one who had gifted Joseph with His abilities. As we attempt to follow Christ, faithfully serving others around us, God has great honor in store for us too. Let's make sure we give glory to the One who rightly deserves our praise - even before times of honor are fully realized.
