My guest today is Chris Oldfield, a world traveler and the creator of Lessons Learned Abroad. A travel blog through which he educates his readers on ethical travel, how to travel on a budget, as well as other lessons that he’s learned along the way. He's also the Community Manager for Nomadic Matt. Along with that he is soon to be a first-time author! And will be releasing his book titled The Dogs of ‘Nam later this year. In this episode Chris shares some of his most challenging and memorable experiences. Which include climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, viewing wild animals during a safari in Africa, and living at a Buddhist monastery in Japan. We also dive into the topic of ethical travel and the importance of personal responsibility. As well as discuss why you should break out of your comfort zone so you can grow as a person. This was a conversation that I really enjoyed and definitely gained some value from, and I know you will too!
