With full focus on his show business, people started approaching Roger for help with marketing of their different shows and events. And that marked the genesis of 404 Media group, A PR company that Roger started with his wife.
How Byblacks.com was started
Roger lives his life alongside the strong philosophy of buying from fellow Black Canadian or visible minority owned businesses in order to empower and improve each other, both economically and socially.
And after 18 months of research and planning, Roger undertook the creation of a directory for black owned businesses, which later on grew to become the giant online magazine media house that it is today.
Along the way, he’s faced a lot of obstacles and challenges in form of negative reviews and criticisms, all of which Roger is thankful for, since it only helped him get better at his projects and life as a whole.

Changing Careers and making his Jump
In 2006, while dating a girl he was working with, Roger had a switch in passion when the marketing department in the company (and also the department where Roger’s girlfriend worked) went for yearly Holiday celebration in Niagara Falls, the Finance department on the other hand (where Roger was situated) had a similar celebration, only instead of Niagara falls, it was the boardroom, with nothing but pizza and pop to call it a year. And from that day, Roger began his hunt for a new career in the sales and marketing niche.
