Episode 20: What is a TINA Market?

As we move into 2021, we may be in for a TINA market, which stands for “There is No Alternative” and refers to a market where stocks offer better returns than other asset classes. If we end up with a TINA market for the next several years, it may have the effect of creating unrealistic valuations over time because people buy stocks simply because there is no alternative. Remember to keep your portfolio diversified, since bonds still offer less downside risk and other asset classes like real estate, gold, and bitcoin, can offer long-term investment opportunities, too.
