Mudar Zahran is a Jordanian who has been described as the secretary general of the Jordanian Opposition Coalition
Born to parents of Palestinian origin in 1973, Zahran moved to live in the United Kingdom, specifically Luton in 2010.
Before seeking asylum in the UK, Zahran served as assistant policy coordinator at the United States Embassy in Amman.
In 2014, Zahran was indicted by a Jordanian military court on four separate charges, due to several articles he wrote, in which he claimed, that Jordan is an apartheid state resembling that of South Africa.
He has two master's degrees and a Ph.D. and is well-read on the Palestinian / Israel conflict.
