We are currently experiencing the largest and fastest religious shift in U.S. History. It’s called dechurching and it impacts more people than the First and Second Great Awakening and every revival in our country combined...but in the opposite direction. 

Very little study had been done on dechurching until Jim Davis and Michael Graham commissioned the largest and most comprehensive study of dechurching in America by renowned sociologists Dr. Ryan Burge and Dr. Paul Djupe. Together, they share their findings in their new book The Great Dechurching: Who’s Leaving, Why They are Going, and What Will it Take to Bring Them Back? – released today!

This week, Jonathan welcomes Michael Graham to Candid Conversations to discuss the dechurching shift. What you will hear is shocking, but also encouraging – because there are tangible steps you can take to help stem the tide.

Michael Graham is Program Director at The Keller Center for Cultural Apologetics. He is also the executive producer and writer for the As In Heaven podcast. He received his MDiv at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He is a member at Orlando Grace Church and he is married to Sara, and they have two kids.
