The "Bathtub Method"
The process of sitting in a bathtub in
Levi's 501 Shrink-to-Fit™ jeans is a classic method to achieve a custom fit.
Sizing: Purchase the unwashed jeans two sizes larger in the waist and a couple of inches longer in the length.
Soaking: Wear the jeans and submerge yourself in warm water in a bathtub for at least 30 minutes.
Drying: Wear the jeans until they are completely dry, which molds the denim to your body shape. Be careful, as the indigo dye will bleed and can stain bathtubs or furniture.
