Welcome along to the Dead Dads Society, the therapy group in the form of a podcast. This week's guest is comedian, actor, improviser John Knowles.

Originally from Canada but calls Australia home now, John and I sit down and have a chat about the tension of a performer growing up with a macho Dad. We talk illness, loss, growing up in Canada, comedy and a harrowing tale of people held at gunpoint and not knowing when to end the scene.

John also shares a great tale about his Dad going fishing with comedy icon Johnny Carson.
