Episode 22 on Fertility being in your 30's and being able to talk openly about it.

Listen Later

On the final episode of Season 2 I open up about fertility and the topics surrounding this. I give part of my own story as this has been a journey opening up about this as I was in a place of settling down and planning a family but this at the time wasn't right at the time for me.

In this episode I talk about :

- The place I was in starting a family and I am healing from this too as I am in a different place now

- Not getting enough information on fertility and our knowledge our body

- People not judging you on whether or not you want children

This is something I want to learn about myself as I am in my mid 30's and I am  thinking of freezing my eggs, this is hard to think that as a woman we do have a time limit on our fertility and I chose this topic to discuss to spread more awareness to women out there to create a space to talk openly about what you want in life and gaining knowledge of this.

Now the idea of freezing my eggs has risen and I am thinking of looking deeper into this as a woman this is something I want to have the choice as it is something that has a time limit which is our fertility as a woman. I discuss this and then go into your questions too as this is a topic I want to spread awareness This season of Empower with Emma is brought to you by Riley - an Irish female-founded period care brand.
