Ya girls took a daycation to get away from all the *gestures wildly* in our hometowns. Mystic, CT had just what we needed: All the lobster, wine, scenic landscapes, records galore, and local shenanigans. Disclaimer, we did not go to Mystic Pizza, as the restaurant is good for a lot of things, but their pizza is mediocre at best. In short, we got a little taste of everything. Abbotts Lobster in The Rough (https://www.abbottslobster.com/) provided a much needed lobster feast that we definitely did not regret. Since we went in the middle of the week, we enjoyed our wine-down Wednesday at Jonathan Edwards Winery (https://www.jedwardswinery.com/), and a sweet treat at the original Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream (http://www.mysticdrawbridgeicecream.com/). After filling our bellies, we took a stroll down Main St. to take in the local tourist scene, checked out the Army and Navy Store, and bought a ton of records from Mystic Disc (http://mysticdisclp.com/). To end our daycation adventure, we checked out Friar Tuck’s Tavern (https://www.friartucksmystic.com/) across from my old haunt, Treehouse at the Oyster Club (http://www.oysterclubct.com/treehouse-at-oc-1). Overall it was a successful trip, and we plan on returning for more soon!
