Throughout American history, spiritual revival often produced moral transformation in the hearts of people.

The Second Great Awakening in the early 1800s stirred many Christians to care about issues like education, missions, helping the poor, and fighting injustice. When Christ cleans the inside, He begins to change the outside of the person as well.

Changed hearts often led to changed communities. That is because the Gospel transforms people from the inside out.

Second Corinthians 5:17 says, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”

Laws alone cannot create righteousness. Real change begins when individuals surrender their lives to God.

America’s greatest hope has never been merely external reform. Our greatest hope is spiritual transformation through Jesus Christ.
