Chris is a former member of the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) who spent 15 years in the defence force, including a decade with the SASR. Raised in Queensland with a family history in the military, he shares his path from starting a plumbing apprenticeship to enlisting in the army as a communications technician. He provides a close look at the intense selection and training processes in the SASR, emphasising the significance of team dynamics, leadership, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. We also explore his experiences on deployment, the challenges faced, and the lessons learned on the job. After a successful career, he transitioned out of the military, repurposing his skills and knowledge to found OMADA Performance Concepts, working predominantly with tactical rescue response teams.
