This topic came up when I was explaining to my daughter why a person was no longer in our lives. I explained to her that I no longer felt safe around that person, and she assumed that I meant physically safe. I explained to her that there are different kinds of safety, and then thought to myself, could I have spared myself years of heartache and pain had I known that as a child?

So this is that conversation. You deserve to feel mentally and emotionally safe around the people you choose to be in your life. In this episode I give you some tips on how to do that, and a little bit of validation too...
