Featured Artist of the Week: Earthshine
Earthshine is the creative alias of Dutch musician and producer Peter Cox, who wrote, performed, and recorded the entire album at his Down The Road Studio in the Netherlands. With Island, Cox invites listeners on an instrumental voyage of calm and wonder—an experience shaped by the breathtaking landscapes and quiet power of Iceland.
The album’s title carries a layered meaning:
• Iceland itself, whose Icelandic name Ísland inspired the spelling.
• Island as a concept, a solitary yet beautiful place, reflecting the music’s sense of space and tranquility.
Built on gentle electronic textures and soothing rhythms, Island offers a collection of atmospheric tracks designed for deep listening, relaxation, and escape.
“This music reflects how Iceland made me feel—peaceful, wide-open, and alive with subtle energy,” says Peter Cox.
Island will be available worldwide on all major digital and streaming platforms from Modulate Records, which focuses exclusively on digital releases and a broad, forward-looking scope in contemporary music.
