Welcome, listeners, to Part 1 of our mini-series recorded on the CSIRO research vessel (RV) Investigator!

In March 2024, Olly headed out to sea and interviewed not 1, not 2, but 26 of the adventurers aboard! Over the next four weeks, you’ll be hearing from scientists, staff, crew, and students on the ship.

This week, we’re starting with the undergraduate students. Led by senior lecturer Dr Pier van der Merwe, the students went to sea to experience life as a marine scientist, undertaking a range of projects, alongside a healthy dose of backgammon and Catan games.
