The rest of the nation is laughing at California and our "High Speed" rail.  With $11 billion spent so far and a projected $23 billion more needed to complete the first phase, from somewhere near Bakersfield to somewhere near Merced, this makes the cost nearly $38,000 per foot.  20 times the cost of building new 4 lane freeways per mile.  Interest rates for mortgages dropped slightly this week.  The CPUC adopted a new flat fee for residential customers in addition to the cost of the electricity used.  This will take effect later this year.  We discuss all of this and more on this week's Real Talk.  Real Talk is the Right Side of Real Estate.
