Beginning in the 1730s, an unprecedented spiritual revival swept through the colonies. Men like George Whitefield traveled horseback up and down the Atlantic coast, preaching the message of Christ's redemption to massive open-air crowds. The message was simple: all people are equal at the foot of the cross, every individual needed the saving grace of Jesus.

For the first time in History, the regional barriers were broken down by the Gospel making the colonists “one people.”

Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” No nation remains strong apart from moral and spiritual foundations.

May we pray for our country, love our neighbors, stand for truth, and point people to Jesus Christ. Because ultimately, the greatest thing we can do for America is share the Gospel.
