Bacon is one of those things everyone likes...

... if you say you don't, you've either never had it, or you have a religious excuse.

Now, all those people that say they can't have bacon, however, have no reason not to indulge. This week we bring you synthetic bacon; bacon grown in a Petrie dish; bacon which, when finished, is indistinguishable from the real thing.

The only question we have, here on Reason to Panic is simple: sure, the idea sounds good on paper, but does this newfangled meat have legs to stand on?
