Episode 251 - The Strength of Integrity

As a young store clerk, Abraham Lincoln once discovered that he had accidentally overcharged a customer by a few cents. Rather than ignore the mistake, he closed the store, walked several miles, and returned the money. It was a small act, but it revealed the kind of character that would later earn him the nickname, “Honest Abe.”


Integrity is often built in moments that seem insignificant. Proverbs 10:9 says, “He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:...” When we choose honesty, even when no one is watching, we build a foundation that can support the weight of life's responsibilities.


Our world often rewards shortcuts and excuses, but God values truthfulness. Integrity is not perfection. It is the consistent decision to do what is right because it is right.


Today, ask yourself this question: Am I the same person in private that I appear to be in public?
