Pam Anderson’s performance of Shelly in “The Last Showgirl” gets better the longer it marinates in your mind, but Jamie Lee Curtis as the cocktail slinging ashtray Annette is an instant high camp icon, and it’s clear that Jamie Lee is having the time of her life as the down but never out best friend of a Las Vegas showgirl in her final days on stage. Is this movie just Hysterical Blindness on the Strip? Is Billie Lourd actually 47? Who was in the audience for that last performance? Nothing really gets answered but for about 81 minutes, it’s a fascinating kick line of questions.
