DX Ferris is a native of Pittsburgh and Akron based author that covered local and national music in Scene magazine. He has had work published in Rolling Stone, Decibel, AV Club and The Village Voice. Ferris is also the author of Good Advice from Good Fellas, Good Advice from Professional Wrestling and his regular comic strip Suburban Metal Dad. Additionally he authored an extensive biography about Pittsburgh legend Donnie Iris and the Cruisers as well as the 331/3 edition that covered the making of Reign in Blood. Plus, he wrote the in depth biography "Slayer: 66 2/3: The Jeff & Dave Years". And if that weren't enough, Ferris has a podcast called "Talkin' Slayer".  I always love it when we get a chance to hang out – even if it is virtually.
