Twins talk it Up Episode 26: Setting 2021 Goals

Happy New Year! We are thrilled to begin Season 2 of the Twins Talk it Up Podcast. In this first episode of 2021, we wanted to talk about the importance of setting goals. 

We briefly reflect back on 2020: the health pandemic, call for social justice, the struggle for security & sense of normalcy. We then jump into setting goals for this New Year. We challenge you to ask the question of 'What’s next?'

Far too many people wait for things to happen to and for them. And then there are those who go after something; they are intentional. It is the ones who go after something who experience true growth and success.

Here are a few things to consider when setting 2021 goals:

Write your goals down

-Establish a goal around each of these 5 categories: Personal, Relational, Financial, Physical & Business/Professional.

Measure & implement

-Create or use systems for achieving your goals. Consider the SMART acronym. SMART stands for: Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Relevant & Time.

Build habits

-Work backwards from your stated goals and develop habits. Don't forget to 'make your bed'.
