Episode 27: How to Live Quietly in a Chaotic World
Welcome to another episode of The Way of Holiness! This time we needed to introduce a conversation based on Paul's word to the Thessalonian Christians in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12, "And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing."
How can we live a Quiet and Peaceful Life in this Chaotic and Traumatic World? In all seriousness, it seems, on the surface, impossible. How can followers of Jesus in 2024, with devastating hurricanes, riotous politics, and international war ramping up, live like this? It is monkish sounding, right?
