In this episode, we have a conversation with former soccer player, now coach, Megan Geary. In this candid discussion, Megan talks about her time being an athlete and coming to a point where she didn't like playing soccer anymore. Megan goes into the amount of pressure put on athletes at a very young age, competition amongst teammates and how, in her journey, she defined herself by the sport she played, until injury occurred. Through the process, she exercised awareness in identifying the right time to walk away from being an active athlete to her transition to coaching and applying empathy to new players as a result of her experience.
