When it comes to being a point guard from LA you have to style, skill and plenty of poise, know the game and love the game. Baron Davis is the embodiment of an LA PG. Coming out of South Central, BD came up in an era nurtured by Showtime and surrounded by NBA players that either spent time or moved to the west coast. Staying home at UCLA for college his game blossomed and he was ready to put on for LA when he got to the league.

As Penny remembers, Baron was confident teenager that used to show up to their summer runs to hoop with the pros. Then as Baron game matched his personality and style, he was a star in the making. Now the two look at the substance of BD’s career and point guards need to be molded and developed in a certain way.
