Episode 28_The Next Frontier: Participating in Africa’s Future

Listen Later

Over 400 years ago ships sailed across the Atlantic to find a continent rich with every known resource under the sun. After several weeks they landed on the soil of the African continent and set out on the arduous task of doing business with this “new-found” ally.

After several centuries of extraction, the African continent was semi-liberated from the chains that held it from its development. Though the continent had progressed with the world in time, it didn’t progress per the effects of civilization.

Today, the African continent remains largely undiscovered; mineral resources, human resources, industries, ventures, all untapped. It thus supposes that Africa remains the final frontier of the world, the last continent to be fully discovered.

In 1957 when Ghana gained independence from British colonial rule, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah said “The independence of Ghana is meaningless until it is linked to the total liberation of the African continent.” Sadly the African continent still remains unliberated by forces of neo-colonialism and thus begs the supposition that Africa remains the final frontier of the world.

It is no wonder then that present Xi Jinping, a man of great foresight and insight and the leader of the second superpower of the world has said that “Africa is the future of the world.”

I believe you will enjoy this episode of The Dakwahene Podcast as I touch on Africa as the final frontier of the world, the 5 areas that anyone can take advantage of to lay claims on the future of the continent and to position the continent its glory.
