Building on last week's motivation episode - understanding the motivations of your athletes to participate in the sport will have a great influence on your ability to effectively communicate.  We have to do this differently at the organizational level than in a personal relationship.  With better understanding of our athletes, we can better motivate them to maximize their opportunities.
