In the 1990s when D.r Janki Shah began her medical training, only about 3 percent of women were cardiologists. Despite all of the challenges she faced along the way, she accomplished her dream and is now living in her true purpose. With heart disease being the number 1 cause of death for women, she has dedicated her career to bringing awareness and prevention to her patients at UCLA and to the community through The American Heart Association Go Red for Women initiative.
