Today, we're going to take a break from some main courses and focus on a different food group- bread. This is a simple bread recipe that allows you to make fresh, hot bread with only a few ingredients and a little time. So, I hope you'll join me as we make some fresh bread!
Time- 90 minutes
Difficulty (1-10)- 2
Ingredients-
2 packages yeast, or 4.5 teaspoons of yeast
1/2 cup warm, not hot, water, in a container that you can mix in
1.5 cups warm water, separate
2 tablespoons cooking oil (canola or vegetable work well)
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2.5 teaspoons salt
4-4.5 cups all-purpose flour, with extra for dusting
Tools-
Mixing bowl
Spatula or other stirring implement
Oven, preheated to 375 Fahrenheit
2 loaf pans (1 if making a half recipe)
