Well met and welcome to the Journey Begun in Scripture podcast! I am your host, Theodore Jander. As was mentioned in episode one, the devotional presented in the second installment to be released each week has been written and recorded by my dad, Dr. Lou Jander as of part my parent’s non-for-profit company, CrownPoint Ministries. I am very grateful to my dad for providing me access to the recordings.

I would first like to share verses seven and eight from the reading my dad focuses on, which is from the Gospel of Mark 6:1-13: And [Jesus] called the twelve unto himself and began to send them forth two by two, giving them authority over unclean spirits. He charged them to take nothing for their journey, save only a staff; no pouch, no bread, and no money in their belts...
