Well met and welcome to the Journey Begun in Scripture podcast! I am your host, Theodore Jander. This installment’s JBNS devotional focuses on Luke 2:7. So, sit back and relax as you take this time to dwell in God’s presence with “Silent Night.”
Luke 2:7: And she gave birth to her firstborn son, wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Verse 1:
Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight;
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing, Alleluia!
Christ, the Savior, is born!
Christ, the Savior, is born!
Silent night, holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
Podcast music, Stille Nacht, edited and orchestrated by Theodore Jander.
