It is the next day and Ferron rises with a seemingly great night of sleep. The rest of you wake and cautiously examine each other. The group goes to look further through the rubble of the old shrine and finds the trap door that Ryn had climbed out of before. They enter down into a cramped basement dwelling and find the large brass bell, though the place is also littered with ceremonial objects of two clearly distinct styles. One of which involves a great amount of Dragon shaped images while the others are determined to be reminiscent of Elven culture from your home plane. Some of you take a few Elven statues with the permission of Ryn but you decide to leave the Dragon statues there. Upon hitting the ancient bell a tone rings out that seems to reverberate in the very branches of the trees surrounding you making a strange harmony. Even as the tone fades you can still grasp what sounds like a deep voice in the wind and then, from the far side of the dome there is a rustling and a door opens up in the wall of green. Looking back at Ryn you see her swaying to a rhythm of her own. You leave through the door and decide to head towards the beach, where Ryn said her father might be still. As you head that way Odi is hurt falling into a pitfall trap that Ryn seems unfazed to see. You carefully proceed and finally get a glimpse of the beach to uncover what looks like a battlefield. Bodies like on the sand along with arrows and large scorch marks that have turned the sand to glass. A ship lies wrecked on the beach as well with its stern the only thing still above water. As you get closer to the bodies you realize that they're not dragonborn, but elves. Taking a closer look at them the sand starts flowing around one of their hands and they suddenly start to animate. You do your best to take care of the zombies quickly before two more appear, and then, dragging itself out of what looks like a hole in the distance is a large Half-Dragon zombie. As you fight on multiple fronts Ryn runs towards where the half-dragon came from and Ioanna stops her as you slowly fight your way towards the hole Firn is the first to see what appears to be a mass grave of dragonborn and half-dragons. When Ryn reaches the grave with Ioanna she yells at the zombies "STOP! You need to go back to sleep". And with that the zombies stop in their pursuit and lay down with the dead. Ryn directs the group towards a cave in the side of the nearby mountain and says that her father might be in there with her uncle, and that it was a "Cave of the Ancestors". You head down a tight chamber with torches and magical light which reflects strangely in the glasslike rock. You hear a voice. "Brother, have you come back?" The voice does not seem to hear any response. After what seems like ages you enter into a small enclosed chamber, the six of you fit in tightly, however the ceiling stretches up now into pitch darkness. Your reflections are a teal-blue and look almost like paintings, and they're moving, like they're made of a gas. You can see beyond your reflections too, to what looks like another room beyond yours, and you can see the shape of a dragonborn, sitting crosslegged on the ground in front of what looks like a pulpit. Behind the pulpit you can also see a large statue of a Half-dragon, who looks like he used to be holding something. After some deliberation you find that your torch lights seems disembodied in their reflections and by moving them towards the stature it moves, opening up its hand and reaching down to send the flames towards the pulpit. The dragonborn on the floor breathes in the flames and exhales them towards the wall separating you. The wall melts and Aben stands before you, looking not entirely alive. "Fleshfolk… I thought my brother… who are you then?" Speaking with Aben for awhile you learn a few things: -Immeshar wasn't on Ra'uel when the [Aigrei Elves came to kill the Dragonborn, when he came back he brought Aben to the cave and tried in vain to revive him. -Immeshar tried several times to revive his people and ended up turning them into zombies -Immeshar was a cleric and obsessed with the Relics of the Old World -Humans once became too powerful and challenged the Isoxu, but this ended in them being stripped from their ability to use magic You help Aben leave the cave. Seeing Ryn he lightens up and the two of them embrace you can start to see a bit of light passing through her body. Aben thanks the group for reuniting him with his daughter. He requests that you seal the mass grave of his people, and that you bury them in it. You talk to Aben a bit more, you learn: -Immeshar wants to establish a state lead by Dragonborns -Dragons have not been seen for many years -The Dragonborn come from a land called Krozea -Half-Dragons are formed from Dragons mating with a human or elf. Dragonborn are formed from Half-dragons mating with other Half-dragons or dragonborn or dragonborn mating with each other. Scalers are formed from Dragonborn mating with a human or elf. -Dragonborn mature very fast and were used to form entire armies within only a few decades. These armies (forcibly) absorbed many elven communities -Aben met his wife after saving an Elven man from an Isoxu of death known as Muagu -Aben tried to secure a shipment of hand cannons from humans. The shipment was intercepted by elves and they decided to use it as an excuse to wipe out the Dragonborn of Ra'uel . -The year Aben died was in 1198kdh. Five years ago. When Aben asks if there is anything that they can give the players Ryn interrupts him "How about Money!?" -Some of you check out the sunken ship Ryn leads you to. In the captain's quarters she tells you to open a drawer and Confidence opens a drawer to find Coupons for six free "EXTRA SPICY NOODLES at The Magic Noodle Shop "... noting that this wasn't exactly the money you thought Ryn had in mind, Ryn also adds that there is a chest down in the hull of the ship. Before leaving, you open some crates to find 8 of the metal tubes from Imarra's dream. Down in the hull Confidence and Ioanna manage to pull the chest up by tying a rope around the chest using mage hand. Inside it is full of Sharpscale Ore . Aben tells you the Sharpscale is often used for projectile ammunition and has additional properties after it has been blessed at a shrine. Odi draws a picture of Aben and Ryn and the group prepares to put Aben and Ryn to rest. After bidding goodbye to them, they watch as the two hoist themselves down into the mass grave, and then holding each other, cease to move. After ensuring that the two are indeed gone, the group tearfully covers up the grave with sand. Ferron says a prayer in another language that you don't understand. You decide to walk back to the boat around the islands since its at low tide. On the way you see a shadow that seems to grow and once again you are face to face with the panther you saw earlier. You learn the panther's name is Enzu : -She is an Isoxu and calls you planeswalkers -Her domain deals with the underworld or death... but she is NOT Muagu and hates being confused with him -She scolds you for messing with time -She warns that if you die in this world you could be incredibly problematic for her -She doesn't know why or how you came here Enzu shrinks down into the shadows again and you return to the boat. You determine that it would be a better move to travel to the town of Lade first so that you can fix your broken mast. You wait until the tide comes in and then set out to sea. On the way to Lade you have plenty of time to chat and get to know each other better. Many of you learn more about each other's past and things you did before meeting each other in this world. On the trip Ioanna asks Ferron why crows have a negative connotation and he tells her A story about the Isoxu Kaxu . You arrive in Lade in the dark of night. Nobody says a world to you as you enter the town. Ioanna leads you to an inn where you speak to Elba the innkeeper. She remembers Ioanna and allows you to stay on the promise that you pay her back after making trades for cash the next day. You grab a couple rooms and enjoy sleeping in a bed for the first time in three days.
