Usually when we discuss memoirs we focus on the story in it and what life is like now for the writer. I decided to talk to my friend Trish Kearney about her and our experiences of writing and publishing our memoirs of sexual abuse/exploitation. She published Above Water a few years ago, about her experience of surviving sexual abuse over many years by George Gibney.
It's a unique experience with as many pitfalls and challenges as there is a sense of success/closure etc.
