Why Most People Hate Their Life…

 

Strong title right?

 

Maybe it's more on a level of frustrated with their life?

 

Often this is brought on at a much deeper level than most people care to think about. It can come from trying to live by conformity and other expectations and beliefs, then we build that into our lives and wonder why we're unhappy or frustrated.

 

Where do we get these expectations and ideals from?

 

Often the area of most support can unwittingly cause the most damage including…

 

School, parents, teachers, environment, peers, friends, society, government, TV…being too scared to speak up causes such inner anguish and long term, even illness and stress.

 

We forget the dreams we had as kids and get those dreams knocked out of us, in different ways, mentally, emotionally and even physically

 

As If you can do that! They say to you...

 

Your not good enough, don't be stupid, that's not for you, you'll never make it, what will the neighbours say?

 

Who do you think you are, you're too old, too young, too inexperienced, too stupid, too big for your boots, what will your friends think?

 

You tried something different once before and it didn't work, you always fail don't risk it!!!

 

My story of misery in this episode is when my dad came home and wanted to buy me and my sisters a little lingerie business.

 

My mum said no daughters of mine are going to run a store!

They're going to get a job, get married, have kids, blah, blah, blah!

 

I became angry and resentful, I felt like my life was too small and would end up passing me by.

 

The old habits were kicking in….blaming others, pointing the finger, letting myself be led by others instead of thinking for myself...going with the flow..don't rock the boat!

 

I used to day dream a lot. I wanted to be a millionaire!
