Welcome back to Daily Growth Point, I’m Pastor John Bingham.
As a child, it was not uncommon to offer a gift to a friend. Sometimes this gift would be given out of a sincere heart. Yet, there were still moments when I regretted giving my toy away, and I would try to find a way to get it back!
One of the greatest Biblical truths about our salvation is that it is God’s gift to us. When God gives a gift, He doesn’t ask for it back because God’s gift is forever. Jesus said, “I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish.”
Because Christ provided our salvation, He also is the keeper of our salvation, so He says, “no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” That is why the Bible calls our salvation, “Eternal life” and in other places “everlasting life.” Because nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
