Originally recorded for Bestival, this 1hr mix comes from the alter-ego of ex-BBC Asian Network DJ Pathaan, spinning a selection of bollywood/funk/disco under his ‘The Guru’ moniker.  Its a fun side-step to the usual selection of more serious music we publish and are sure you’ll enjoy it!

“I have had this massive urge to DJ under a different guise called The Guru for a number of years. So when the invitation came from the lovely people at Bestival to create a Bestimix, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to introduce The Guru to you all! And I have fantasised about dropping this kind of set on the main stage to get the revellers into a ‘party fuelled hedonistic state of mind’ at both Bestival & Camp Bestival before an act, after dark ever since the inaugural years.
